Area & Accent Rugs
Area Rugs
An area rug is what you typically see in the communal rooms of your house and the
bedroom. While providing warmth and color to any space, an area rug also completes
the look of a room. Area rugs come in a myriad of shapes, sizes, and construction.
These factors will change the quality and price of the product. The two most common
construction methods are tufting and weaving, with weaving typically being the more
expensive.
The type of fiber in the rug and amount will also affect the price. For instance,
natural wool is more expensive than polypropylene. When purchasing an area rug,
you should also consider foot traffic and room size. And don't forget a slip resistant
rug pad to protect your floors.
Accent Rugs
Accent rugs are used throughout the home to provide floor protection, cushion under
foot in high traffic areas, functionality at doorways, or to add color to any space.
Accent rugs work in any room and are made in all constructions to include tufted,
woven, or printed.
