This is Sara’s second appearance in our Holiday Home blog tour and we absolutely love all of the elements featured throughout her holiday décor. The metallics in the mirror frame and the copper Christmas lights compliment the iron of the fireplace, the leather couch, the hardwood floors, and the stone surround. It’s quintessentially rustic and traditional, with the eucalyptus wreath the only addition that wasn’t cut down from the woods surrounding her home. We can practically smell the fresh, pine scent that lingers in the air! The heirloom design and the soft muted colors of our Iseo area rug in Sea fits the room so perfectly, cloaking the floor beautifully and without distraction. The brown, rusts and blue undertones woven throughout the area rug ties the entire room together in a visual holiday masterpiece. Visit Sara’s blog for details!
Merichelle opts for bright pinks, blush, navy and white accents to deck the entryway of her home, complete with a rose gold skinny tree and nativity scene that shimmers and shines with lots of glitter and warm lights. This modern Christmas color scheme works brilliantly with the dark navy trim and French doors off of the foyer, where both the color and pattern of her new Mohawk Home Bali area rug in Denim ties all of the elements together into a cohesive holiday look and feel. We especially love the faux fur blanket tree skirt, which drapes over the area rug and infuses the space with a plush, wintery texture. Check out some more great images on her blog.
Sunny yellows and bright greens serve as the basis for Heather’s cheerful holiday décor, bringing us one of the coziest and happiest rooms in this year’s holiday home blog tour. Rather than look for an area rug that matches the yellow color scheme in the drapes, throw pillows, and Christmas tree, Heather chose one of our most popular, neutral and plush area rugs. The Mohawk Vado area rug in Ivory is the perfect pick for Heather’s room; we can just envision the children spending hours of warm holiday fun unwrapping presents and playing with their new toys while curled up on the rug. When the holidays are over, the neutral area rug will be a welcome addition throughout the winter. For more of Heather’s sunny and Hygge holiday home, visit her blog.
Heidi brings the outdoors in this holiday season by transforming her living room using a traditional color palette and plenty of plaid pattern to sprinkle around that festive look and feel. Reds and whites with plaid accents abound, with pops of texture in the pom-pom stockings hanging over the fireplace and the lit wooden star at the top of the tree. Breaking up all of that red and white color is Mohawk Home’s Caspian area rug in Gray. The soft gray palette with just a hint of blue undertone works beautifully in the room, while the design lends beautiful contrast to all of the plaid pattern. Choosing to let her images speak for themselves, visit Heidi’s blog to explore the rest of her holiday décor.
Miranda at Blue Agate Abode indulges her wild side this holiday season with a wildly glam holiday home decor, and it’s beyond refreshing! Embracing the gilded look, Miranda opted for an all-white tree and plenty of gold accents in her living room décor to set a frosty yet festive tone. Mohawk Home’s Cheetah Spots area rug animal print pattern adds both a much needed warmth to the room while remaining edgy and interesting, glorifying all of the blues and turquoise accents and accessories throughout the room. Visit Miranda’s blog for a step by step guide to putting together this holiday look!
Two Christmas trees flank the neutral fireplace in Christie’s gorgeous living room, decked out in traditional colors for the holiday season. The rustic holiday vibe is obvious, from the plethora of wood and wicker on the walls and floors, to the fresh cut greenery. Christie’s gorgeous holiday home spotlights Mohawk Home’s Francesca Farmhouse area rug in light gray. The plush fabric brings so much warmth to the room, while the light gray and cream hues meld with all of the neutrals in the room. Scroll through her images over on Instagram for more!
